The next day, though, after you've slept, and try to leave your house, it once again doesn't detect that you're wearing the knight's suit. I recommend skipping this version.

Bug report: I was unable to leave the starting house. It says you need the knight's suit whether you're wearing it or not. (I tried leaving without it to see if that helped, and it didn't.)

As a workaround, I then downloaded Version 0.7 from November, put the armor on, left the house, saved the game, then copied the save to this version's folder. You can continue playing with the save from the older version.
