This may have some of the most unique (and beautiful) artwork in any game I've seen so far. And the gameplay seems like it will have a lot of options. However, I just cannot play as a female in a game like this. Very early on you have to make a decision as to whether or not you react positively or negatively to an asshole that essentially borderline sexually harasses you (the middle pic above with the snake tattoo guy pressing you against the wall). Being male, I'm ok with making the decision to be the asshole or the nice guy (and I'll choose the nice guy), but I just can't do anything but tell the guy to go f*ck himself if I'm supposed to be playing the female. And I'm pretty sure that immediately kills any sort of steamy scenes between the two of them (at least for now).

Maybe way more females play these games than I realize, but I've always assumed the genre is like 99% male, so it confuses me to have so many games from the female perspective. It doesn't turn me on even a little bit to have to imagine I'm responding to male advances. It actually turns me off. But maybe that's just me.

Well, I went and checked if they had made a game with a male protagonist, and I see the author is female, so that sort of explains it. I get that she might find it just as strange to make a game with a male protagonist as I find it to play a female. That's too bad, because I'd happily make a Patreon donation for a game with this same art style (which is truly gorgeous), but from a male perspective. This game looks REALLY good...I just can't play it because it doesn't interest me at all. Kind of bums me out, honestly. Oh well, hopefully if some of you are female, or don't care if you play one, you'll give this game a shot and maybe toss some donations her way. I feel she deserves it, even if I won't be playing it.
