Room to Rent - Version 0.8.4p

I also agree with the previous comments for the game being too tedious. I did, however, finish the game despite this. I respect the author for what he's trying to do, making the painting/wallpaper/laminate etc. as real as possible, but this also makes the game seem very boring and annoying, especially with the amount of repetition you have to do for each task.
In the (currently) last chapter you have to carry all your belongings to the 4th floor, with the help of M & D. Each person can only carry a specific item, then you head up and watch the stairwell scene. This repeats 11 more times, and the stairwell scenes don't really even add anything to the story, they're just fluff.
Anyway, at the end of the version you're awarded with a sleep molestation/foot fetish scene with the D if you picked the right dialogue options. If that's your thing give the game a try, but otherwise it isn't very rewarding for the amount of effort you're required to put into playing the game.

I'm with Valium on this one.... I made it through the wallpaper and was hanging a frickin light and was stuck. I could do nothing other than electrocute myself. Then, the game FROZE! So, I had to close it down and reload. My last save? Yeah, before I started hanging the (*^(*&%()(*&()*&%&*^&%%)(*^ wallpaper!!!!! Nope. Done. Finito. Screw this crap. It's an interesting story, but for zero adult content OR teasers up to that point, why the hell even bother to go further? There is promise here, but holy shit, this is the game from Hell!

So many tedious things to do. Figuring out how to carry four things up flights of stairs in a single trip is easier than figuring it out in the game, but that's just the tip of the iceberg. Later, you get to paint a ceiling nearly stroke by stroke, glue wallpaper stroke by stroke, and hang it sheet by sheet, and each of these tasks requires clicking in the right spot. It's not that these things are too challenging, they're just not fun. It seems like there could be a decent story here if I were willing to stick through it. Three or four panels of wallpaper in, though, I called it quits. I'd rather wallpaper a room than pretend to wallpaper a room in this game, and I hate hanging wallpaper. Also, that folding table should have been three clicks at most.
