It's worth a play, Karl. It's rather linear and not at all multifarious as you suggest. It did seem like it may be that way in the beginning, though it's changed a bit since the creation. Pretty steamy story-line between the main characters, a bit of side story going on, but not much depending on a few decisions made early on. But it's pretty straight forward.
